Courtesy of Cotswold Roofer and Steven’s licensed drone we have a bird’s eye view of 2 Hillside and work on the roof.
The left side of the roof is nearly all back on. The chimney stack and the original ridge tiles have been fixed with the highest strength NHL5 natural hydraulic lime mortar. Once Steven, Tim and James are happy it’s all taken well, the left-hand side will be brushed down and tiles finally checked.
The right-hand side now has its breathable membrane. Between the membranes and lath and plaster ceilings inside, up to the top of the dormers, there is a layer of insulation.
The new cast-iron guttering arrives next week.
It must be fun being one of the hawks we see soaring over the valley.
